AIDAN MARAK studied Art, Design, and Architecture in Paris. Since then, she has been creating interiors and engaged, even provocative scenography. Over the past ten years, she has dedicated herself to the creation of an artwork that deserves to be highlighted.
The power of words, the strength of lines, and the impact of images transcend her personal experience and transform into an underground force that bestows her work with exceptional richness. However, far from abstraction, her artistic ideal is rooted in the concerns of the moment, when freedom of expression is violated or when obscurantism prevails: it is to this struggle that her work is practically dedicated.
Her current series, "TEXTURES OF THE SOUL," resonates as an echo of her most intimate protests against the surging wave of African feminism. It is a passionate and irrepressible feminism that intimately blends craftsmanship, traditional artistry, collective memory, and contemplation of the future.
Unwavering generosity permeates her work in powerful images that reach the sublime in their most accomplished expression. Pure contemplation, it unfolds through a palette of colors and words, leaving the viewer free to choose their own interpretations.
Her recent exhibitions have taken place in Miami, including "The Power of Purpose, Wynwood" in 2022, "Art is never Canceled" in 2020, and "Profanities and Love," a Pop Art Exhibition during Miami Art Week in 2019.
