So Art Gallery joins for its third edition the 1-54 of Marrakech, which will take place from 22 to 23 February 2020 at the Mamounia.
Referring to the 54 countries that constitute the African continent, the 1-54 is a platform for dialogue and cultural exchange where African contemporary art is honored.
Completely in line with this approach, So Art Gallery will be present through the works of 3 artists who have been inspired by their daily lives and their origins to feed their respective work.
First Ghany Belmaachi, a pioneer of the new figuration in Morocco, will be there. Inspired by his environment and his rich experience, he draws from his memories moments of life to transcribe them on colorful canvases. He then delivers a universal message by playing on the anonymity of shady characters.
In a different register, Morran is part of the avant-garde of contemporary artists. Self-taught, he begins his journey in the artistic landscape at the option of Street Art. Since his beginnings, he has contributed to contemporary artistic creation, and has gradually turned to new graphic experiences, thanks to his ability to reinvent himself and to express new techniques. For Art Paris we have selected works reflecting a diversity of materials, plexiglass, buffalo horn, steel, wool, materials that relate to the earth and represent tangible memories of the childhood of Morran.
Finally, will also be presented the works of Leslie Amine. Originally from France and Benin, she creates original compositions in ink and acrylic at the heart of which she evokes the issues of miscegenation, hybridity and identity. She captures moments of life, characters who question her as she travels. Then mingle on his colorful canvases lush vegetation, a city in motion, atypical individuals ... The most striking in his work is certainly his play on transparencies that creates a world between dreams and realities, where all the sensations have their place.
Through the representation of these three artists whose works express a strength, a style and an elegance, So Art Gallery confirms its will to present artists with singular universes full of sense and demand.
